The World Peace & Economic Development Organization (WPEDO) recognizes that a peaceful world cannot exist without a healthy planet. Environmental protection is not merely an ecological duty — it is a moral and humanitarian responsibility that directly affects the future of every generation.
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), WPEDO has designed a series of comprehensive environmental protection and awareness programs to safeguard our natural resources, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable living practices across all sectors of society.
Clean Environment Initiatives
To create lasting impact, WPEDO has launched the “Clean Environment Initiative” — a long-term national campaign focused on education, community involvement, and behavioural change.
We actively engage schools, colleges, and universities across Bangladesh and beyond, inspiring youth to take personal and collective responsibility for maintaining clean, green surroundings. Students are encouraged to participate in tree-planting drives, waste management campaigns, and environmental awareness workshops — transforming classrooms into catalysts for sustainability.
Partnership with Local Government and Urban Authorities
WPEDO works closely with local government bodies to promote stricter and more effective environmental practices.
We have recommended the adoption of stricter vehicle fitness and emission controls, urging transport authorities to monitor and regulate the increasing number of vehicles in urban centres to minimise air pollution and safeguard public health.
Additionally, WPEDO advocates for clean city planning, improved waste disposal systems, and green public transport policies to ensure a healthier and more sustainable urban future.
Sustainable Energy Awareness and Education
In pursuit of long-term ecological balance, WPEDO has introduced training programs and educational workshops on renewable and sustainable energy — empowering communities to transition from dependence on fossil fuels to cleaner, greener alternatives.
Our Sustainable Energy Education Initiative focuses on
- Geothermal Energy Awareness — educating communities and institutions on the potential of geothermal power as a clean and infinite energy source.
- Solar and Wind Energy Programs — promoting affordable, off-grid solutions for rural electrification.
- Eco-Energy Training — providing youth and local entrepreneurs with practical knowledge to develop small-scale sustainable energy projects in their regions.
